THE VIRGIN, THE WHORE AND THE SINNER: It came to me as a shock one day when I realized who were the three main females of Christianity. This is the western world religion and we women grew up with these images as part of our culture. These unconsciously accepted models are unrealistic examples of what it means to be a woman and are detrimental to any females holistic, psychological and spiritual growth.

Through painting these women I would like to draw attention to what they represent and to encourage us to examine their conditioning influence.
