I've been trying to describe Sufi Whirling in a painting for 4 years after I had the opportunity to experience this magical sacred dance during one of my visits in Paris.

The trick for me was to represent the absolutely still line connecting earth and sky as well as the intoxicating turning effect.

I think I almost got it. Here is a study sketch I just did!
