Come along as I am preparing my own solo show in
Paris, France. In this "hot and live" course i will share everything I have
learned so that you can organize you own successful show!

After the course, I will offer a 90 min group session to address all your questions regarding your next solo show. The date is to be decided: it will be either the end of June or after the summer holiday to give you some time for integration. The price of this session will be Can$75 (US$56 or 53€).

✓ What to look for if you exhibit in an alternative space. Your show does not
have to be in a gallery but it has to have the right elements.
✓ How to secure support from influential people (like getting an Academy
Award actress or the leader of the Green party of Canada) and why you
should do this.
✓ How to find partners to help with publicity: For this upcoming exhibition in
Paris, I have multiple organizations with 10,000 to 100,000 followers who agreed to share information about my exhibition on their platforms.
✓ How to contact the media and what to tell them so they will want to talk about your work.
✓ How to pay for all your expenses so you can pour wine for your guests at the show opening without worrying about money!
✓ How to boost sales during your show.
✓ How to use social media to bring attention to your event and whether you need to pay for ads (you don’t!).

✓ Choosing the wrong venue (I’ve done that)

I don’t have enough paintings to even think about exhibiting!
Most galleries book 2 or 3 years in advance. I take 3 years to prepare a body of work so it will be good for you to paint while being strategic and thinking about your next show.

I am not an artist but I organize art events (music, dance etc…)!
Everything that I am doing to organize a solo show is exactly the same work as preparing any art event. If you are a musician or a dancer this course will open up your world of possibilities!

I didn’t know anybody either when I started. I live in the middle of nowhere in Canada, I don’t schmooze at cocktails and networking events (it’s too far to drive!). I do everything from my cabin in the woods.
