Still struggling with the issue of what to do with Emu. In week 5 sketches I managed to kick out Emu to return the Whole to a state of Equilibrium.
People who do not conform are rarely appreciated or respected by society (during most of their lifetime). Their behavior is often misunderstood and they can often appear as an existential threat to many others.
I made this image to try to work out the elements of our society that may look like Emus - but are not destructive bullies. Like the emus, they are also responsible for the "friction" that we need to evolve.
This sketch is the third from the "Emu" series.
