The Creation Of Herstory

The Creation Of Herstory

I am always in the process of working on three or four pieces of commissioned artwork. Most of the time it is for businesses but sometimes it is more personal like in this case. Below is the first email my client sent when she approached me to co-create this painting: “I dream of a painting about the woman that is still hiding in me. I want it to have a symbolic place in my life. To give you an idea of how special this painting will be: if there were a war and I would have to go in exodus, I would take this painting with me under my...

Unveiling Vaginas!

Unveiling Vaginas!

It started with my vagina. Don’t get too excited, I am just talking about my first vagina painting that I created about 7 years ago! This image came to me in a vivid dream a few nights in a row. I felt it was strongly connected to Sheila Na Gig, the Celtic goddess of fertility. Her images are found throughout the Celtic culture in early Christian and Pagan art and sculpture. A few years later Susun Weed sent a call for artists for her book Down There, Sexual and Reproductive Health. I was inspired to create a whole bunch of more vaginas...

The Messages Of Wild Woman

Wild Woman archetype and story represents the purest most primal mystical life. Her total connection with the elements, her response to the call despite of the challenges, her confidence and trust, coupled with her vulnerability and sensitivity: For me all these are aspects of a dedicated life on the way to be free and happy....

The Secret To Abundance (From An Artist!)

The Secret To Abundance (From An Artist!)

Now let’s be straight forward: I simply hate these kind of titles but in life I can actually see the point when I always felt broke and when, next, I felt abundance. I want to talk about this subject because this theme of ‘being broke’ is such an issue for most artists, and as I said, this was a problem I had too. The truth is when the shift happened, my income didn’t really go up. It was more like a paradigm shift.   I’ve met people that were taking courses, trying various teachings to bring abundance to...

One Of My Paintings… Lost And (Not) Found

I was on my way back from Hungary where I exhibited my art at the Integral European Conference. I had been travelling from early in the morning with a heavy suitcase, a backpack and my rolled painting in hand. Every time I got out of the taxi, sat down at the airport café, boarded in the plane, etc… all day I checked and doubled checked that all three items were with me at every move. Around 4pm, I was in the RER (Parisian fast subway), I exited to transit to the subway, changed the subway twice, walked 10 minutes to get to my...

Creation of the painting Integral Map 1.0

I have to admit that it took me a long time to grasp the full scope of Integral theory (and I am still working on it!). It is primarily  a comprehensive map of a complex whole while being beautifully simple and elegant. Many of my themes already explored the stages of one’s life in a spiral motion so when I came across the integral world it felt only natural to tackle the ambitious task of translating the stages of development and quadrants into a painting. My goal was to create a harmonious design that doesn’t only touch and...

Article in the Reiki News magazine

Exactly 10 years ago I was officially starting my art career and one of my first emails was in reaching out to William Lee Rand to possibly illustrate the Reiki News.  It was really joyful when I received a positive response and my regular contribution to the magazine started. At this point of my life my acquaintance with Reiki was not extensive. I had just taken a level 1 course and I wasn’t really using it. Actually after that course I thought that Reiki maybe wasn’t for me and I decided that I would follow up with Reiki only if...

From Visionary Art To Integral Art

One of the first articles I wrote on my blog was entitled ‘Finding my family in the art world’. In 10 years working full time on my art I have realized now that visionary art in the art world is still avant-garde and is not well represented in galleries or museums around the globe. We do have our own movement and prestigious exhibitions are hosted by various curators and visionary artists, but as far I see it, it is still an alternative fringe movement. I am not giving up on the importance of ‘sacred contemporary art’...

He Awakens and She Awakens

He Awakens and She Awakens

My two oil paintings She Awakens and He Awakens are sold! I am especially happy because they were created to be together and a collector in France saw that!   I would like to share a few photos that shows the evolution of these paintings as I created them. He Awakens started as a small ink pen drawing, my main idea was to have an eye and the cosmos with a multiplication and fractal feeling. When I saw a contest for artwork on the theme of Awakening for Hozho shamanic magazine in Switzerland, it gave me the meditating person piece (my...
